Process

Factors such as product size, shape, weight, and any legal or regulatory requirements for labelling or safety information shall be considered to develop a packaging design that aligns with the product’s branding and target market.

Suitable packaging materials will then be chosen based on the product characteristics and protection needs. Sustainability factors and environmental impact shall be considered when selecting materials.

Structural design of the packaging will be created, considering elements such as shape, size, compartments, closures, and inserts. Using (CAD) software detailed structural drawings and prototypes will be developed for evaluation.

Graphic elements, logos, product information, and branding elements shall be incorporated into the packaging design. Visual appeal, legibility, and the message to be conveyed to consumers shall be considered.

Physical prototypes of the packaging design will be created to evaluate its functionality, fit, and visual appeal. Prototyping helps identify any design flaws or improvements needed before mass production.

Testing shall be conducted to ensure the packaging meets regulatory requirements and industry standards. This includes testing for strength, durability, barrier properties, tamper resistance, or child-resistant features.

Planning of production will be done, considering factors such as production volume, lead times, material sourcing, and cost optimization. Quantities and specifications of packaging materials needed for production will be defined.
